While Nicole was out on her nature walk, she noticed some ducks and geese eating. It looked like someone had given them food while they were out on their own nature walk. It’s important to remember not to feed wildlife that you encounter on your nature walks. In addition to being against Chicago Park District regulations, it can also be bad for the animals themselves. For example, feeding bread to waterfowl can contribute to a condition called angel wing. Wild animals are already well equipped to find food on their own, so let’s let them!
